Aspheric Lenses

Aspheric lenses correct spherical aberration with a single element, cutting system weight, cost and assembly error. Peoptix makes them from optical glass, chalcogenide (IRG/AMTIR), ZnSe, Si, ZnS and CaF₂ by molding, grinding and single-point diamond turning, for machine vision, compact camera modules, laser focusing and infrared (thermal) imaging systems.

Key Features

  • Aberration control
Single-element spherical-aberration correction for sharper images and tighter focused beams.
  • System simplification
One asphere replaces multiple spherical elements — less weight, fewer parts, lower cost.
  • Broad material range
Optical glass, chalcogenide (IRG/AMTIR), ZnSe, Si, ZnS and CaF₂ — covering visible through long-wave infrared.
  • Custom build
OEM/ODM by customer drawing — custom diameter, thickness and edge treatment, from prototype to repeat production.

Applications

  • Machine vision systems — aspheric lenses simplify multi-camera inspection heads and cut module weight.
  • Compact camera modules — one molded asphere replaces several spherical elements, shrinking optics for mobile, wearable and IoT devices.
  • Laser focusing systems — precision aspheric form for tight, low-loss beam focusing in industrial and medical lasers.
  • Infrared (thermal) imaging — chalcogenide and ZnSe aspheres for LWIR thermal cores and surveillance cameras.
