Description

This is the transmittance curve of an IRG206 optical component with HD+AR anti-reflection coating, tested in the 8–12 μm long-wave infrared (LWIR) band:
  • The average transmittance across the full band is 96.86%, with a peak of ~98.1% at 8.3 μm.
  • Transmittance stays above 97% in the 8–10.8 μm range, showing excellent performance in the main working wavelengths.
  • A small dip appears around 9.6 μm, and transmittance gradually drops to ~93.2% at 12 μm (a common limitation for broadband AR coatings at longer infrared wavelengths).
Overall, the coating meets high-performance standards for LWIR applications, with only minor room for improvement at the 12 μm end.
