This optical window is manufactured from high-purity single-crystal Silicon (Si) substrate, with precision double-sided broadband anti-reflective (BBAR) coating optimized for the 3 – 5 μm infrared spectrum.
Uncoated silicon has a refractive index of 3.43 at 3 μm, resulting in significant Fresnel reflection loss at each surface. Our 3-5μm BBAR coating effectively reduces surface reflectance to below 1% per surface, boosting average transmission to over 95% across the working band for 2.0mm thick windows. The coating exhibits reliable adhesion and outstanding environmental stability, suitable for long-term operation in industrial and harsh field environments.
