Features:
- Broad spectral transmission from deep-UV to mid-infrared
- Low average surface reflectance within target MWIR band
- Excellent radiation-resistance performance
- Low absorption loss
This optical window is manufactured from high-purity single-crystal Barium Fluoride (BaF₂) substrate, with precision double-sided broadband anti-reflective (AR) coating optimized for the 2-5 μm infrared spectrum. Uncoated BaF₂ has a refractive index of 1.48 at 5 μm, presenting relatively low native Fresnel reflection. Our 2-5 μm BBAR coating further suppresses surface reflectance: average reflectance below 1.5% across 2000-5000 nm, with absorption loss lower than 1.0% over the working wavelength range. The coating delivers stable optical performance for instrumentation use. Note that BaF₂ crystal is susceptible to moisture attack; long-term high-humidity exposure should be avoided to maintain component service life.
