CaF₂ Window BBAR(2-5μm)

High-purity Calcium Fluoride (CaF₂) optical window with 2–5 μm double-sided broadband anti-reflective coating. It delivers over 94% average transmission across the MWIR band, and is widely applied in MWIR thermal imaging, FTIR spectrometry and gas detection systems.

  • Transmission spectrum of 2-5μm BBAR coated calcium fluoride (CaF₂) optical window, over 94% average MWIR transmittance
  • Reflectance curve of 2-5μm BBAR coated CaF₂ optical window, below 1% reflectance per surface

Description

Features:

  • High transmittance across 2–5 μm MWIR band
  • Low refractive index with minimal Fresnel loss
  • High laser-induced damage threshold
  • Excellent coating adhesion & environmental stability

Uncoated CaF₂ has a refractive index of ~1.43 at 3 μm, with inherently low Fresnel reflection loss at each surface. Our 2–5 μm BBAR coating further reduces surface reflectance to below 1% per surface, boosting average transmission to over 94% across the working band. The coating exhibits good adhesion and environmental stability, suitable for long-term operation in industrial and laboratory environments.

Typical Applications

  • 3–5 μm MWIR thermal imaging systems
  • Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) instruments
  • Infrared gas detection and analytical equipment
  • Mid-infrared laser systems and optical instrumentation
  • Medical infrared diagnostic and surgical devices
  • Industrial IR temperature measurement and monitoring
